Today's daycare centre Niederwiesa is located in a former school building that looks back on a long history. The solid natural stone masonry with wall thicknesses of over 60 cm gives the building its special, historic character – but it also brought challenges.
Over the decades, more and more moisture penetrated the walls through capillary suction. The damp threatened to migrate up into the ground floor, which would have affected not only the building fabric but also the indoor climate.
In 2022 we were commissioned to professionally tackle the moisture problem in the cellar. With our proven method, we were able to solve the problem in a targeted and lasting way.
