Building diagnosis: data logging for moisture analysis

With modern data loggers, humidity values can be reliably documented over longer periods of time. The Materialfox Mini – barely larger than a matchbox – collects measurement data in up to three places at the same time. This creates a precise picture of the moisture development in the masonry. The stored data can be read out and evaluated on site directly on the PC.

Technical characteristics of the Materialfox Mini

  • Resistance/resistivity: 20 kOhm to 500 MOhm (10*log(R)).
  • Direct material moisture measurement with a display resolution of 0.1%
  • Three pairs of measuring terminals with a cable length of approx. 1.5 m, which are connected to 3 pairs of electrodes at different wall depths.
  • Logger mode: automatic data storage.
  • Storage of 4,000 measured values (optionally up to 16,000).
  • Recording interval from one second to 24 hours, adjustable via software.
  • Switching output for alarm or for controlling any other electronic devices.
  • Measured values are retained in memory even without batteries.
  • Integrated quartz-accurate clock and calendar.
  • Dimensions 35x55x15 mm (HxWxD).
  • Weight: approx. 30 g incl. battery.
