Why drying out walls is important

Moisture in the masonry is a serious problem. Not only does it cause unsightly stains and flaking, it sometimes leads to extremely high heating costs and in the long term also endangers the building fabric and the health of the residents. Professional wall drying ensures that moisture is removed – without complex construction work or unnecessary costs.

Causes of damp walls

The reasons for wet masonry are manifold: rising soil moisture, laterally penetrating water or damage to the old waterproofing. If these problems are not corrected, mould, crumbling plaster or even structural damage will quickly occur. Moist walls can also increase a building's energy consumption by up to 65 percent.

The solution: electrophysical wall drying

The electrophysical method we use according to Ö standard 3355 is scientifically recognized and highly effective. By placing electrodes in the masonry, the moisture is gently displaced from the capillaries – without interfering with the statics, hardly any dirt and with a guaranteed long-term effect.

Frequently asked questions about drying walls

Moisture creates natural electrical voltage fields (zeta potentials) in the masonry, which promote the capillary rise of the water. Our system creates a weak DC voltage field that counteracts this effect in a targeted manner: the moisture migrates back into the soil in a controlled manner, the capillary ascent is reduced and stored salts are degraded (desalination effect). This creates a sustainably dry building substance – without major structural interventions and without chemical additives.
