A particular challenge was drying out a historic barrel vault dating from 1821. The vault was built from stacked slate granite – a common construction method at the time.

After installing our Drymat system, the masonry is now dry, both visually and by measurement. The successful drainage of this exceptional structure shows that even historic natural-stone constructions can be dried out sustainably.

Family Z., operator of a commercial business, is highly satisfied with the results. After the first successful drainage in 2020, further parts of the building were dried out by Drymat in 2023 and finally in 2026.
