italienisch The parish church of St. Bartholomäi in Dornheim, Thuringia. A historic date was 14 October 1707. On this day Johann Sebastian Bach married his cousin Maria Barbara Bach in the church of St. Bartholomäi.
In addition, in 1813 the allied rulers Tsar Alexander I of Russia, Emperor Joseph-Karl-Franz I of Austria and King Wilhelm III of Prussia met in Dornheim to coordinate their military operations against Napoleon. The Three Monarchs Monument commemorates this historic event. After long "oblivion", the parish church was ceremonially reopened in 1985 following extensive construction and renovation work and today represents a gem among village churches.
