Haus Gertrud – historic half-timbering with dry masonry and warm hospitality
Haus Gertrud is a recognised family holiday centre within the Protestant family recreation programme of the Diaconal Service of the Protestant Church in Germany. Under the guiding principle "The stranger becomes a friend", the lovingly restored half-timbered house has been welcoming its guests in a warm and family atmosphere for many years.
The imposing historic building was renovated with great care and combines the charm of traditional half-timbered architecture with comfortably furnished rooms and exceptional hospitality. Anyone who stays here immediately senses the warmth of the hosts and the special atmosphere of this house.
The owner became aware of our Drymat system through the recommendation of satisfied customers. Due to moisture problems in one section of the historic half-timbered house, he decided to have our system installed. Only about one year after installation, the affected wall section could be handed over dry.
The owner is very satisfied with the result and has kindly made the photo of his house available to us as a reference. We would like to thank him sincerely for the trust placed in us and are pleased to have contributed with our system to the long-term preservation of this impressive historic building.
Do you also have problems with damp walls or rising damp? With our online damage analysis, you can record the condition of your building in just a few steps and receive a non-binding assessment of wall drying. Simple, free and risk-free.
